A fun version of Mars’ Smokey Bear with a vintage toy graphic packaging graphic background. Both favorites of young Peter while growing up near the forests of Oregon.

The concept of Smokey Bear was developed by the U.S. Forest Service and the advertising council to raise awareness about forest fires, which were a significant concern during World War II, especially after fears of Japanese attacks sparking wildfires. A real bear cub, also named Smokey, became a living symbol after being rescued from a forest fire in New Mexico in 1950. This real-life cub, nursed back to health, became an iconic symbol, solidifying the character's legacy of promoting forest fire safety to the public.

Mars artworks are crafted by hand-pulling acrylic paints through original 1900s redwood silkscreen frames. The beautiful, classic materials adds magic to the Mars Studio process by using old-school methods.
