This Peter Mars acrylic silkscreen painting titled is from a series of one-of-a-kind paintings that depict legendary gangster John Dillinger in 1930s Chicago. Mars completed Dillinger and 38 Special Pistols during his Ox-Box artist residency (via Chicago Art Institute). His artworks are crafted by hand-pulling acrylic paints through silkscreens that were re-built by Peter from original 1900s redwood silkscreen frames, with the silk being prepared old-school.
